**Job Purpose**

The Production Mechanic will be responsible for assembling completed units utilizing component parts for sub-assemblies and assemblies from engineering drawings. This position will be located within the Utility Assembly Department.

**Key Job Elements**

o Mechanical assembly of chassis, drive train engine,

operator's cab, etc.;

o Route and connect hydraulic plumbing;

o Use established assembly shop guidelines and checklists to

ensure proper work instructions are followed;

o Electrical assembly and wiring installation;

o Assemble, inspect, test, run and troubleshoot finished

machines prior to shipment to end customer;

o Inspect, troubleshoot and repair used equipment that has been

returned from the field;

o Document and complete in process quality checks;

o Additional duties as determined by the shop supervisor.

**Education / Training**

o High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;

o Associate level degree a plus.

**Qualifications and Experience**

o 3+ years hands on electrical experience;

o Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical

drawings and engineering change orders;

o Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics;

o Ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics,

sketches and verbal instructions;

o Ability to use precision instruments and gauges;

o Ability to operate overhead crane;

o Ability to provide own tools;.

o Prefer candidates with previous experience working in a

continuous improvement culture of Lean manufacturing and


o Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001;

o Prefer candidates with previous experience working in a

manufacturing environment of Safety, Quality, On Time
